If this will is updating an older will, you may also want to say something about this will superseding previous wills and list them by date.
Executor
The executor is the person who executes your will. That means they are in charge of ensuring that your wishes are carried out how you want them to be. They will also be in charge of ensuring that any bills for the estate are paid, and everyone gets what they need. The executor can be a family member, a friend, or an attorney; it depends on what you are comfortable with. Just make sure you ask your family member or friend before you name them your executor.
